GÜNGÖR ÖZSOY

Özsoy took his first professional photos at Hürriyet Photography Agency at the end of the 50′s, at the same time he starts to go Turkish Cinema movie sets and work in movies.

Özsoy who took cover and interview photographs of magazines like Ses, Perde, Artist for many years, also became essential name of movie sets.

Photographer who works at movie sets till early 80′s, worked with Ertem Eğilmez, Çetin Karamanbey, Metin Erksan, Memduh Ün, Lütfü Akad, Orhan Aksoy who are most important directors of the era.

He took the photos of Kemal Sunal, Fatma Girik, Tarık Akan, Kartal Tibet, Türkan Şoray, Yılmaz Güney and many more actors’/actresses’ first movies. He attended more than 200 movies’ set in 20 years and took photos of thousands of actors/actresses and singers.

Güngör Özsoy also took historical and touristic photos of Turkey for many years. Özsoy who have more than 40 thousands reversal films about Turkey is also the owner of many photographs which are all familiar to us from postcards, calendars, touristic brochure and books.

Güngör Özsoy is professionally taking photographs for 55 years.

DEPO PHOTOS

Turkey’s new visual archive Depo Photos brought together more than 200 photojournalists and photographers under the same roof including Güngör Özsoy.

There are more than 1 million copyrighted mostly unseen photographs within the archives of agency which it’s foundation works are continuing ever since year 2012 up until today.

From way back to 80′s the Depo Photos team who transferred visual content belonging to era of 135 years opened the hidden history within cam films, reversal films, dense, card, hard disk and cd’s to Turkey and world.

At Depo Photos a wide range of content covers Ottoman and Republic Era photographs from sports to magazine, politics to culture-art, and city visuals to portraits are presented in high definition and quality.

Depo Photos who starts to give not only the past photos but also the actual content has opened its doors to photojournalists and photographers all across the Turkey. Agency accepted 30 photographers amongst from nearly 250 applications in last six months.

Depo Photos who had started to supply content to users like publishing houses, televisions, advertising agencies, documentary producers, newspapers, companies, news portals, researchers by its unique software and easy to use interface will open its richest photo archive not only to users but also to all fans and photo enthusiasts without password and with preview.
