Osman Önder Photography Workshop was established in 2011. The workshop consists of members with basic and advanced level photography education and it produces photography projects under the leadership of Osman Önder. All members of the workshop are members of the Bursa Photographic Art Society (BUFSAD).
Since the day it was founded, more than 30 solo photography projects and presentations were carried out and also 3 group projects were completed. Besides the trilogy of the projects “And Then….”, “A GLASS of Photography” and “The Frame”, the album, exhibition and show of which was completed in 2012 and 2013, the workshop was awarded the Sami Güner Cup. In addition the Osman Önder Photography Workshop members were appreciated as successful with 15 separate solo photography presentations in three years at the Sami Güner Cup, they were awarded the Golden Camera 4 times and they opened 8 exhibitions at the BursaFotoFest. The workshop members with photographs at the Frame exhibition are Aylin Kırgözoğlu, Ayşe Ayna, Ayşegül Sencan, Bahadır Suna, Birgül Yıldırır, Ebru Civan, Gürkan Açıkgöz, Gürkan Yaman, İsmail Özer, Mete Yıldırım, Özgür Savaş Doğan, Selçuk Dalgıç, Serap Özkan, Serap Yılmaz, Serkan Saygılı, Şeyda Turan and Umut Becene.
THE EXHIBITION “FRAME”
Frame is an important symbol for “Living Together.” In fact, we all live in a “Frame”. Most of the time it is us who decides what goes into this frame and what stays out. Actually I do not know how to do it but it is easy to define happiness and its picture; it is what you want is inside your “Frame” and what you do not want, is outside. However, it is not that simple to achieve this. Sometimes, or most of the time, life fills in the inside and outside of your “Frame” without asking for your opinion, taking you into account and then it shows this as if it is your preference.
The topic of the third common project of the workshop was identified with these feelings and with an awareness of responsibility as “Frame”. The project comprising of the exhibition, the show and the photograph album was realized after long and hard work.
