He was born in 1963 in Adapazarı. He was interested in arts and photography from early ages. He started to draw cartoons in his lycee years. In 1980, his professional cartoon works had started at Çarşaf Humor magazine of Hürriyet Gazette. He drawn professional cartoons at Gırgır, Fırt and various broadcasting organizations. In 1985; he started to take his first photographs with the 1973 model “Pentax Spotmatic F” branded machine which he bought from Hüsnü Savaş who was one of the fabulous journalists of Hürriyet Gazette. He photographed the old Galata Bridge, the life under and over the bridge until the bridge became a vet. He photographs social life and especially people in a fashion of black and white documentary. He was impressed from Ara Güler, whom he modeled on. He participated in various photography exhibitions. He won awards in national and international competitions. His photographs are still being published in numerous broadcasting organizations in and out of the country. Since 2005, although he decided to leave cartoon drawing in humor magazines and continue taking photographs, he continues to draw illustrations and cartoons for the advertising agencies. He has been working as a professional photographer since 1995.
