He was born in Bursa in 1966. He played basketball for years. He worked as a journalist and TV sports program presenter in Bursa and Istanbul media between 1989 and 2001. He represented our country at many national and international film festivals. He ranked the second in Ömer Seyfettin Story Awards Competition in 1998. He opened photograph exhibitions in 2000 and 2005 exhibited his works in Bursa. He learned about the details of photography as one of the first course attendees of Bursa Photo Art Association. He went to Sweden in 2003 and made the 60-minute documentary called “Shadow Men” in which he summarized the lives of refugees. Şenocak’s book “Being a Refugee in Europe / Shadow in the Dark” in which he explained what he could not explain in the documentary was published by Ozan Publication in November 2007. Being the founder and first president of İnSanat Cinema Association, Suat Şenocak acted in the plays which were staged in Bursa Metropolitan Municipality City Theatre and Ahmet Vefik Paşa State Theatre. His play “Pink Avenue” was staged with İnSanat Theatre in 2009. He also played roles in Director Reha Erdem’s multi awarded movie “Cosmos”, Turkish-British coproduction movie “Will” and Erdem Tepegöz’s multi awarded movie “Zerre”. Şenocak’s mostly zero budget movie “This Torture’s name is Love/Glassmaker” which told the psychology of football fans came out in 9 copies in 2010. He wrote “Cinematic Reality/2010 Manifest” in collaboration with İsmail Dalgıç. Şenocak is still the president of İnSanat Cinema Association and he continues to share his experiences with movie lowers at 16mm Cinema Shop.
Having intervened in photos, Suat Oktay Şenocak prepared his exhibition “Sweden and Norway in Torn Photos” from the photos which he took in Scandinavia where he lived between 2003 and 2005.
